Great looking material. What's your plan for the japanese maple? The lower trunk looks pretty straight.

My intentions were not to let them get this thick when i planted. But better late than never i guess. Now to build some grow boxes.

Thoughts on this maple. Not sure how much to cut back. Thought this was enough for now. Any experiences with japanese maples this size being trunk chopped to the extreme? Thx

I would definitely put that maple in the yard. We to big and straight of a trunk for bonsai. Would be great in the yard!!!

Thankyou for the input. But i raise goats too. What little space i have where they dont go is garden/bonsai so no space for ornamentals. Thx
