[Desert O'Piñon]

I forgot about this one. My wife was cleaning out her photo storage and found it. American kestrel fledged too early. Brought it home and it flew off less than a week later on its own.
Found it trying to fly on the RR tracks at work. The next day I took it home, as I never saw any sign of its parents.

Mama exploded out of a clump of weeds next to me as I walked along the tracks. After I recovered from my near heart attack, I snapped this shot of two baby mourning doves.
