There are many places that have great black pine. I feel rather than waste a bunch of eveyones time it is better to list what it is you are looking for and what your budget to spend is. I can steer you to almost exactly what you want, but am not going to waste a bunch of time posting pictures of things that are out of your budget. if you are looking to spend over 500.00 then the posting is easy. If you wish to spend 200.00 or less then your opportunities diminish quite rapidly.

i assume your looking for mature field grown.

if you're looking for stock plants to be grown out 2-0, 3-0, 2-2 i have sources

i've seen some stock here not mentioned above

and

http://www.bonsaix.com/bonsai-tree-collections/chikugo-en-bonsai-nursery/ (top secret)

I have never seen pines much at Chikugu-En, and if they have any, they are usually from Kenji Miyata and most likely way over priced.

FWIW, I've seen and heard of shipping damage from growing grounds, so just be aware of that. If you want something from there, I'd advise that you specify that shipping damage be covered.

And Gregory beach is a big thumbs up from me...

I have been looking at that tree myself. NE bonsai is great and they have a pretty large selection. Can't hurt to call them up.

+1 on that! A few of my trees have come from there, they are always so beautifully healthy, and you can't beat that. They're also really helpful folks.
