Warm weather in the south has bought out all the blooms in my azaleas. The large azalea is an Issho-no-haru import. Coming in bare root can be a scary thing but things worked out fine.:)

Those are really nice.
It's a shame the process these trees must go through to come over. Understandable to avoid shipping anything unwanted but I've seen some amazing trees that didn't make it.

Dave,

I went together with several people, and placed an order with a broker in NC. He ordered them from Japan. He would not offer the name on the broker in Japan. :(
I have another one that is gorgeous but it has not started to bloom.

If you're interested in importing stuff, this guy might be able to help. I've not imported trees with him, but have imported pots and other items. He's very good and not real expensive--although imported azalea bonsai aren't for the faint of heart...

Can you import trees from him? Can you find out? You can export from Japan but you need an importer in the U.S. The trees must be in quarantine once they arrive in the U.S.
