New to bonsai and hoping for some book or website recommendations. Here is what I have read so far.

Bonsai Secrets by Peter Chan
Bonsai Design by Peter Adams
Bonsai Basics by Christian Pessey
about 40 hours of internet research which always seems to end in someone trying to sell you some crummy plant

At this point I am just trying to take in as much info as possible and, at the same time, keep a couple of plants alive (surinam cherry and willow leaf ficus). Any and all input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Also, attached is a pic of my plants just for the heck of it.

Yes, and we're all addicted here...

You have a good, basic start in the book collection. Try also Bonsai: It's Art, Science, History and Philosophy by Deborah Koreshoff. There's a good number of more specialized books out there that deal with particular species to pick up as you get more hooked.

If you want good prices on books try www.addall.com. If you check out the used and rare section you can find stuff for, at times, pennies on the dollar. As far as websites go, you'll find a ton right here by thumbing through the forums and reading through the archives. There were a couple of decent websites (not sure if they're still around) "Art of Bonsai" and "Knowledge of Bonsai".

If you are mid-atlantic region you might like 'Pines' by stone lantern.I did.It is outdoor growing.Cool trees you got there!

If you have a ficus, I'd get Jerry Meisliks book as it is the ultimate book on ficus bonsai.

i just added The Art of Flowering Bonsai by Peter Adams and Beautiful Bonsai by Bruno Delmer to my read list. I ordered the Deborah Koreshoff and Jerry Meislik books, so thanks for the tips.
