A in early May, I got this bouganvillea from a local nursery specialized in tropicals. It was mistakenly priced at $18, so I took it. It was about 5 feet tall, and it has the purple tracts that are everywhere in my hometown of Santiago. Pure nostalgia!

Well it looks real healthy! I can't see much of the trunk but in all honesty, I would let it run all summer with only a 2 or three hedge type trims and let it build up some strength and some girth. Then just when your night temps are over 50F next spring cut it back hard. At least that's what I would do.

@milehigh_7 here is the trunk and a close up of the branches. As you can see, I have several coming out of the same place. Should I do branch selection and wiring or should I wait until next Spring and select the branches then? Thanks! 20180722_084432.jpg20180722_084513.jpg20180722_084432.jpg20180722_084513.jpg
