Thinking about taking a walk on the wild side with this pot.

Any input if you like tree + pot is appreciated!

(also do boxwoods tend to do okay in shallow pots?)

I like both the pot and the tree, but think the current pot is a better fit, both on size and glaze color. Boxwood appreciate a deeper pot, and it’s bark and leaf color lends itself to unglazed pots...just my opinion, and I’m rather traditional.

Also for me....

There is a little disconnect between the heavy trunk and thin branches of foliage, which may be exacerbated by the design of the splotches on the pot, which are rather reminiscent of the spotty foliage patches.

The thin / thick/ thin of it will be hard to view. IMO.
