Boxwood...Salvagable?

Got this little guy from work...
It's a twin trunk, but one, the trunks are the same size, and two, they are split in the middle. (see pics)
Is there anything i can do to make this half-way decent?

Choose one trunk...It wont' work as a double...

I wish I could give more useful feedback but have not done extensive work with my own boxwoods. I think the removal was a good choice, it looks like it will give a bit of taper to the trunk. Not sure if you can induce back budding on the trunk to gain more branching. Otherwise it will take some good time for the top to fill in but it looks like a good starting place.
