They are protected in Brazil, and here (I live in Sao Paulo) we can get them only in little packets of 20 seeds each.
But...
It's not difficult to find seedlings or cuttings in Florida.

I've never seen seeds any where.. I would love to grow some from seed.

Well, guys, seeds for the BRT are rare because they are controlled here in Brazil, see:
Pithecolobium Tortum - The tree is on the list of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources in the category "in critical danger".

Probably one of the easiest plants to get cuttings to root.....why on Earth would you want to grow from seed?:D:D:D
I don't know, but probably because they are very fast growers (at least here) and can be trained just by clip'n grow and some guy wires.

Is it anything like Caesalpinia Coriaria? Obtained some seeds of this (tropical) tree. As it's the 'national tree' of the Dutch Antilles. Probably pretty common in the Carabian?

Really? I've had zero luck with cuttings.
Did you use a little green house for cutting? If you didn't, you should try this for every cutting. It works great.
I made cutting about one year ago.

It already has interesting trunk line in the inferior aspect.

By that, if you can not get the cutting, then you have no choice to get the seed. If you have the choice, get the cutting, :)
I will transplant this cutting into the bigger pot soon.
