My rain trees were getting shaggy and wire needed to come off. Thought I would post a few pictures. 2014-current progress. The small tree was new this year and is growing like crazy.

Finished. I can make it much flatter but wanted to leave some on for now.

Man....I love these too!

And you got a nice one!

Is this an old pic?

I like this one the most.

If you separated that right side a bit...and brought it down into this plane...aviary-image-1472727642311.jpeg

I'd call it finished.

This tree totally deserves a pot upgrade!

You @c54fun are in possesion of my favorite BRT ever!

Very very nice.
Marvelous in fact!

Thanks for the compliments.
Sorce, that is an older picture and it does need a nice pot.

I would be tempted to up-pot this for a few seasons to thicken up the trunk just a bit. And sharpen up the shears 'cuz these go nuts in a big container!!

This was at Bonsai West. You have a cool looking BRT! Ain't they fun?!?!

I got my BRT for $5 on ebay, but it is my very favorite tree! No where near as nice as yours, but fun. Really nice!

Omg, that's awesome. Mine would be crazy if it was thick like that. It would be hard to keep it flat if it grew any faster.
carol, I have a small raintree also and love it. They grow fast. Tell you when they want more water. Fold up when they need to. I just want my little one to grow grow grow.

Rain tree's are very cool - I got rid of all my tropicals but there are times when I miss them. Old fluted muscly big trunked rain tree's are a sight to behold! Your is on its way

Is this pot to big to "pot up"? Its all I have here that may work. Its to big but it would grow into it. Just looking for some input. Thank's. Was re potted this year with light root pruning. I could simple set it in and back fill.

Wait 'till next year, no rush. You would take it out of the pot first, right? Your use of the word "backfill" has me a little nervous.
Roots would probably nearly fill that bigger pot in a year.
Feed well!

I bought that pot for my sweetgum. Its just to big for the raintree. To deep for sure. Back fill meaning take the tree out of the pot, place in new pot with all of it's soil and fill gaps with new soil.
I will order a new pot for it. Just setting it inside a decent pot looks so much better than the $25 pot it's in. Will find a nice light blue oval for it. Couple of inches bigger than what I have now.

Love the BRTs here and I'm becoming a big fan. My potted one is starting to get some growth back to him. My planted one is growing like a weed.
