You should see them in person- they'll leave you breathless- or maybe thats being 13000 feet up :)

Another place you can see great bristlecone pines is at Cedar Breaks National Monument. Near Cedar Breaks, Utah. I have a set a photos you can see at:

The trees are very very old, and most of them are still alive, unlike many in the White Mts. It is 2 miles high and very isolated. The only people up there when Lorna and I visited in 2010 were a few extreme endurance hikers--you know, the kind of people who hike 200 miles before breakfast.
