Brown Needles on Black Pine

Have been experiencing these new growth needles going totally tan (straw color) and some research I have done suggest heat. Watering once a day and twice when over 90 degrees. I was wondering what other possible causes may be at play here. It is happening on other BPs, almost entirely on new growth.

I second this. Looks like pine tip borer.

Your tree appears to have needle cast, though I'm not sure that's what is browning the new growth.

Just twist off the dead part and remove the larvae. It's early enough that you could get more growth from the base.
