Brown thumbed newbie

Well first of all I’ll introduce myself- I’m adam, I’m a 32 year old dad of 5(my tv was broke ok) during lockdown I totally revamped my garden, I’m now looking at getting into the art of bonsai (need to zen myself somehow) I’ve researched abit but have heard constructive criticism is always best! I’ve attached some projects and upcoming nursery projects and have also got seeds in stratification for me to grow for when my kids get old enough. I’m looking for advice, tips and tricks and any old know how? I’ve got some sort of substrate going on but it’s a kind of mix your own consisting of perlite,a mix of akadama,lava and pumice, with some orchid substrate from the garden centre and some bonsai potting mix for the garden centre Aswell, so any advice on this is muchly appreciated. So guys and girls that’s my story and what I need so hit me with what you got..

Best advise I can give is use the search feature! And remember to check last post dates! Lmao I’m like a witch doctor resurrecting threads! Ask lots of specifics questions about each tree when you find threads about that tree because the tree and your location are some of the most important details. Lots of pics since you have things growing! Ok I’m tapped unless you happen to hit one of my tiny niches of knowledge or something I’ve read I can refer you too.

Right thanks you crazy bunch for such a warm welcome, it seems the 5 kids@32 is abit of a touchy subject haha crazy I know especially when there’s 9 months between two of them!. So reading through these comments what I need to do is ask questions, take pictures and keep up with the banter! Please bare with me while I get used to you lot first.
