Hi y’all, just came home to this. Was away but had my brother water daily. Come home and found some of my Sakura leaves half brown. Can y’all help me ID it and maybe a suggestion on treatment I should try. Thank you!

How long were you away? What kind of soil?

It looks as though the leaf spots are solid brown and not mottled. If they were mottled, I would say it was fungus or leaf scorch. It also looks as though the leaves are curling. This and the solid browning points to under watering.

Agreed-this looks typical symptom of under-watering for this species. Might be helpful to keep it out of strong sunshine and hope it recovers.

Awesome to hear y’all don’t think it’s a fungus. I was afraid might spread to others
