A friend let me airlayer a large branch off of one of his massive BRTs last year, and like within a month of me obtaining it after I removed it from the host tree, it started blooming. Since then, it has bloomed a ton. Here's the question: My friend's BRT never has bloomed. Not once. He has multiple BRTs and none of them have bloomed. I have multiple ones and they all have bloomed. I live about 25 minutes south of him in W. central FL, but I just don't think that's it. He uses high nitrogen fert, organics, too. So do I.

Any thoughts on why his isn't blooming or mine is?

Do they bloom on tips you let grow, but that he does not?

I asked him if he trimmed his often because I had read that could be a reason, not giving them a chance to even appear, but he's a grower, loves to let his stuff run. He doesn't trim often.
