I walked around the Buffalo, NY Botanical Gardens today and 2 tiny leaf plants really caught my eye.

This elephant tree.

And this elephant bush.

Just curious if anybody has tried these for a bonsai. I'm thinking there's probably not much you can do with the trunk on the elephant tree. But it looks like you could work with the branches on the elephant bush to style it into a tree.

I should also note, come to Toronto for our Fall bonsai show, I'll be selling my whole P. Afra collection then. I need to downsize my tropical's.
