In the US, I'd recommend Hess Pumice. I went w/the HESS PUMICE GRADE: 3/8 x #8. The online shipping price calculator is way, way, way off. So it's best to call. Cortland @ (208) 766-4777 ext.(171) for correct shipping or a local distributor.

As an example, I purchased a 45# bag for $19.50 + $48.50 shipping. Shippers charge a premium for packages weighing over 50#, similar to the oversize premiums.

They have a Bonsai branded pumice which is the same as the above grade except for name and cost more, e.g. $25 vs. $19.50

I am located in Logan, Utah and have found a source of pumice. Both are sold in 50 lb bags and there are two grades, 3/8 and 5/16. Here is the link. you w need to contact them for shipping quotes.
