This is the first bonsai pot for this tree. It's not the final pot and to be honest I wasn't really planning on changing the pot until it fell off the bench and the pot that it was in broke :mad: At least it happened during repotting time for buttonwoods and I didn't lose any branches! So all in all no harm done. I've only trimmed the branches once this year. I'll be wiring it out for the second time this year towards the end of the growing season to establish the skeleton for the branch pads.

Hey Ryan.

I just saw this thread and I am envious (in a good way) and happy for you.

From the pics I will probably choose somewhere close to #5 as the front so the foliage will be mostly at the back and not cover the wonderful deadwood.

Can you post an update? Thanks!
