Don't know how much overlap there is between bonsai and football fans. We're doing a superbowl thing (Go 49ers!). Unfortunate timing for having a California team in the superbowl. Wish I could go Saturday but the wife would be very unhappy if I'm not helping with the party prep.

We had a great day at the convention. I was able to buy some desperately needed copper wire off Jonas Dupuich of Bonsai Tonight. My two sons (ages 8 and 11) who I've been indoctrinating into the obsession over the last few years got a couple starts (Juniper and J. Maple).

Likewise! I would have liked to meet you in person. Didn't know Al (aka @Smoke ) was there too. I would have probably recognized him if I had seen him (although maybe not if he wasn't wearing his signature hot pink thong ).

I did meet Jerry Braswell, @artofthedaiza , so it was good to put a face to the avatar. I'm going to have him make a daiza for a great piece of Serpentine I found many years ago.
