Hey All,

Tried something a little different with this one... and added text overlays to walk you through my process and give a little insight into how I make decisions along the way. Hopefully it makes the experience more engaging and lets you see the transformation through my eyes.

Truth is, I almost never have a clear plan going in. It’s more about trusting the process, responding to the tree, and seeing what reveals itself along the way.

Hope you enjoy it — and if you do, it’d mean a lot if you gave it a like, dropped a comment, or subscribed.

Kyle

It amazes me how junipers cling to life with so little. Well done.

Nice work Kyle. Love your work on the deadwood.
The red and the type of font was difficult for me even on the television. I'm also a slow reader so longer hang time on the overlays would help.
Appreciate the honey bee care and music selection.
Nice tree

Thanks so much for taking the time and for the feedback. Will definitely take that note and incorporate in the next video 🙏❤️

I appreciated the hunt for the live vein. The method seems obvious, but seeing it performed is even better.

As @Japonicus said, the font color and style was hard to read. I had to pause it each time to get it all.

Your trees continue to impress. I wish I had your eye for styling.

Thanks again for taking the time to watch my videos and for echoing J’s note about the text overlays. It only helps me to make better content moving forward.

I may do a long form video about styling to address the misconception that you need a ‘good eye’ to work trees at a high level. Craft, a willingness to take risks and learning to ‘speak tree’ as Ryan Neil always says… is much more important in my opinion.

And yeah, hunting for the live vein can be super stressful 😅

Just need to take it in stages

There’s a way to style a tree objectively that will result in a good outcome. But a lot of the trees that catch my eye have an unusual decision or two that comes from a more artistic perspective. I do feel that there is some inherent talent necessary. At the very least having that talent to start with helps you to advance faster when paired with learned technique.
