Yes, in the central valley where I live it is the worst in the state. There is no such thing as patina here. Pots are white by the end of a season. Patina is caused by fertilizer staining and fertilizer and calcium together just makes...well yuck!

When I raised African cichlids for the aquaium trade I had it made. Reef tanks were also a cinch. South American cichlids not so much. I would buffer down with acid but not being chelated it would bounce in 36 hours.
