You wouldn't happen to have any pictures with the tree in leaf would you?

yeh, if you scroll back up, there is some of it in leaf. scale wise i dont think this one looks very good in leaf. one of the reasons i prefer the bigger one i have and sold this one.
the pics above were also after removing some of the larger leaves.

i sold this one a few months ago. last image, i removed the branch in the end?

where i am, material like this isnt hard to come by and i only paid £8 i think it was.
i have a bigger hornbeam broom in a grow bed.
I have to agree with removing the lower branch- it was distracting. Too bad you sold it; I was looking forward to the progression. On to the next hornbeam!

i have this one in a grow bed, the nebari will be just as good, its growing on a tile. albeit this one is being developed as a taller tree,

i went out and smoothed out that scar the other day, this tree is growing well, this will have good movement and taper.

and this is my other broom in development, the crown is being developed in a grow bed

Are those roots grafted? They are radially perfect.
