Well there's no doubt that I still lack the vision for what I perceive should be the finished style. However, I have been working with this Elm and practicing clip and grow training with some wiring. Here are some progress pics.

Very nice, I'm also trying a cascade elm but i'm far from that point. Will be watching this thread, please keep posting updates

Update, Update, Update....
When I went on vacation in November I apparently did not leave very good watering instructions and upon returning home this poor little fella had lost most of its leaves to dehydration. Immediately after, it had a bout with spider mites which did not help its path to recovery but after a few months of TLC its back in action and coming along quite nicely IMO.
