Hello,
Received 5 cedrus lebani for a forest I'm planning. They arrived with buds already open as in below picture. All 5 seem to have very vigorous growth yet are in bad muddy soil I need to get them out of quickly. I realise it's bad to repot if buds are already open but is it ok to do so in couple months after new growth has hardened and tree is back to positive energy? Can I clean up at least half of the roots "safely" then?
I can just clean top soil and a bit of the side and bottom and move to forest pot but that would mean having to come back and clean the soil next season which will be a task with a forest...
How do u advise to proceed?

Time is your friend. If you haven’t done anything since the old nuts have ignored you.

I’m a strong believer of a stitch in time saves nine.

Also those photos don’t help to show the size and structure of the trees.

I have half barerooterld 4 of the trees and will be doing remaining one tomorrow. Planted in pumice which should make it easy to remove to final.pot next year I hope. Still looking for a main tree to add which I'll also half bare root and keep in pumice till next year. I'll post some pics with some.size reference for the trees

Here are the trees, still looking for one larger tree to be the main tree in the composition and maybe 2-3 tiny ones.
I half barerooted did minimal root reduction of the large thick roots and planted in pumice. I didnt remove branches as I'm waiting to see if theres any branch loss after repotting which I'm seing in nursery material. Any advice on how to stabilizer the group in pot, any work i should do before on the trees is appreciated. Screenshot_20200601-231526_Gallery.jpg
