Do cedars make good literati? I can't seem to find many pictures of them.

Lines make a good literati.

Creating a living one is hard.

Hence the lack of pictures.

Do cedars make good literati? I can't seem to find many pictures of them.

I tried to grow cedar at least 4 times (deodar cedar). All were wasted because i used to live in different USDA zone. Hope you give it a try if living in their growing zone and share your experience.
