I started with tiger bark ficus cuttings that I double potted to get some longer roots to work with.8FFA97EC-FA19-44B4-9828-84CE96F36188.jpeg

I had good roots to start with 6281EC6D-A203-4B30-99C6-7106BACF9AD9.jpeg

I gave my rock and my roots a soak in this transplant solution.EF632471-6122-46D9-B422-90739D7CD55A.jpeg

I spread the roots over the rocks, and in some cracks to hopefully give it a better foothold. My roots were also long enough to reach all the way down to the soil under the rock. I use the wire to secure the tree to the rock as well as the roots to the rock.505C5703-336F-4FAF-859A-191652AAD85F.jpeg

I chose to use the @Shibui foil method.

I also used a wire to secure the rock do to the pot. I finished it off with a little bit of chopped spahgnum.8E0FF5B9-F8D6-4F31-A3F6-40C7F1984610.jpeg

more to come…

Update: have done a lot of work to this tree. Of course, not many pictures. Here it is today.

Unfortunately, it took me a long time to get a bud to pop low enough on that right branch to make a chop, but I’m finally in a position to do that now.
