Found the faux stone and plant in the yard.View attachment 72065
Source, saw your photo of the "faux stone". Nice. Looks to have the same fuzed columnar attributes of the original lava pieces I came up with. Just needs legs. "sticks", no, "drawer pull knobs", no, "upside down golf tees", yeah, that's it.

This one was pretty in fall.
Still a bit green. Pale pastel pinks and yellows. Draping Down a foot or more...

Crack back.
View attachment 88700

It'll be nice when it grows out there too!

Top Down?

Hope to fill that gap next year...
And hopefully it'll push itself up a good inch, I think it'll look better then.

I really like the photos, the accent plants, shown with the caption....Crack back and Top down. I like the simplicity. Uncomplicated. Interesting but not distracting. Scaled small growing condition. Quiet color. And the plant accomplishes an accent objective I would have for display.....it quietly sits there not wanting to be more important than the tree.

And...my top choice.....the photo along with....Faux rock upside down...is awesome. I like the deep rich color of the rock and the natural rough texture along with the cascading movement of the plants. The rock is like its own mountain quietly displayed. Directional turns of the rock can create new scenes. This is a well created accent component. Well done Sorce!

Well done

Thank you kindly!

Unfortunately....the crack back fell apart in the ice this winter....

Let me show you the Upside down rock now....with actual moss..not sphagnum.20160429_084623.jpg20160429_084641.jpg

The mountain feel makes it seem stand alone....
I think I might replace the plants with this tighter version.20160429_084438.jpg

Delicate balance to keep this good...
Too dry...it wilts....now too wet...I'm getting a little brown at the leaf tips...but alive!

Thinking about making this into a golf course scene for my fishing buddy.
But I hate golf...so I will have to put a water trap with us fishing in it!

He bought me a pack of Nscale fishermen for my trains...I already had em...so We can use those!20160429_085128.jpg

They are all kinda quasisemistandalone.

The patch of earth dance is grooving too....
Peretty sure I'll have purple blooms in a few.20160429_085157.jpg

I found a worm in the moss....I tossed him on this one and he wiggled his way in..

2 years ago, we were up Nort for a game. I went on an adventure with my youngin and we ran across a wild strawberry.

Been wanting one since so I dug one this early summer.

Found me that glass ....
Down by the River.....

Lessin "conditions stay right" this year...

Doubt it...

Even for the flowers....

So I took some pics.

20170906_160123.jpg

Purty but she Lez.....
20170906_160159.jpg

She goes both ways!

The glass is too sconcey here though yes?

Would anyone ever consider using this as an accent?

Thinking bout carving a little Daizaish joint for it.

Thoughts?

I'd use it glass and all "IF" I had a tree that works with it. Something like David Crust's Larch with Kirby Vacuum. It would have to be a tree that could work as "Found Art".

Excellent concept, I hadn't thought of that.

Only that it would surely need a big tree!

This is a Canadian inspired piece I whipped up since the other plant died.

It oughta root quick enough.

Took this photo and got wind blown...20170930_082834.jpg

Packed it up, since Ma Nature provides good nudging sometimes, before noticing I missed the base. Sorry.20170930_083510.jpg

Since we're here...
In a 16in tall pot...
My Meehans plant is no longer miniature...
20170930_083616.jpg
But flowering!

The OG Base still in its plugger, kept wet wet, in more sun, stayed this pretty darker red, with small leaves.20170930_083651.jpg

20170930_083637.jpg

This may find its way to the auction block to help pay for my kiln.
20170929_095358.jpg

20170929_095249.jpg

I was going to make a diaza for it till I remembered why I didn't before...too many elements....

I think sitting on fuzz (just moss) will keep it more useable....

I keep seeing this in front of @MACH5 Mirai elm...
Something impressive enough to remain dominant over the glass and berries.

Some tropicals are brought in.

But any local stuff is left straight out.

Most being local.

Thanks!

Nice work, great ideas! Thanks, I think I just caught the bug LOL. I have so many nice little things to use, wild flowers and such. I got some sedum growing up on top of the mountain clinging to rocks. I'll have to see if I can put something together, cause, you know, I got lots of free time. What I don't have is containers, I'll have to go with some woodsy stuff.
