@CasAH
Thanks.
This Orchid show is in 2 parts. The continuous professional show that runs Feb 9 thru March 24 is a pay extra event fee to view staged by the CBG. They have a design team that goes to botanic gardens around the country and puts on these special event, pay for view shows. Only garden employees and contractors are involved. The local Illinois Orchid Society will have an information table outside the display, but otherwise no involvement. There may be a vendor or two there also on weekends. Both the IOS and the vendors will be in the no additional fee area, outside the display.
Then March 9 and March 10, in the no additional fee area outside the professional show, the Illinois Orchid Society will have it's annual spring show. Here there will be dozens of amateur exhibits and exhibits by commercial sellers, and sales area usually with 12 or more vendors. After the parking fee, there's no additional fee for this show.
Right now my only planned presence is that the fertilizer the IOS sells is a formula I selected for them, and package for the IOS.
If I don't sell out of plants, on Feb 17, at my talk to the Ann Arbor, MI Orchid Society I might have a sales table. But right now I am planning on skipping being a vendor.
If anyone wants to see me talk about deciduous orchids, come to the Matthaei Botanical Garden, at noon, Ann Arbor MI, February 17.
