This is a Chinese elm I picked up earlier in the season. Given the bend in the trunk, I didn't want to develop this one as a broom style. I repotted into bonsai jack universal soil mix in a larger container and planted it on somewhat of an angle. Let it grow wild and just gave it a haircut. I think I have the basic skeleton of what I want the trunk to grow into. I may wire the upper part of the trunk in the fall. As always, any ideas or comments are welcome.

Leader was wired and tree given another haircut. That's all she wrote for this season. Now its just watering, feeding and eventually overwintering.
