I acquired a 15 year old Chinese Elm 2 years ago. I wanted to repot it this spring, but I had some JBP's that I was repotting and grafting. The just leaves came out a week ago. Is it too late? It's big and healthy. No sign of stress or being root bound.
Thanks for your time...

From what you describe, without a photo, it's probably just fine...but the ideal timing window is closing...

If it's not root bound, and you're repotting into the same size pot, (or close) then it's probably fine. Just don't do anything more to the roots than you need to, to be on the safe side if you are worried.

Koreshoffs book said elms or a bit more forgiving concerning the lateness of repotting and can be put last on the to do list.

Thanks...I'll leave the re-pot for next year. I gave it a prune instead. I've included a couple pics...
Thanks again,
