Well, as of now, there is no growth happening at the top of the cuts, only a few leaves growing at the very base of the roots. I hope the trunk didn't die back

you look closely at the trunk, you can see woodworm holes and some with frass (wood dust) around the hole. Has anyone had a tree that became infested and eaten by woodworms? It does look like the trunk has died back, as there are only new leaves growing at the very base of the trunk. What a shame! It had such potential.2015-05-30 10.46.44.jpg
