Chokecherry? Possibly?

I collected this tree a few years ago, thinking it's a chokecherry. It was in an area down the street that was being clear cut for road widening, and I liked the bark:

Pic is of a choke cherry I am growing in my garden .notice the darker almost black bark on the trunk . It darks up like this. Reasonable young you can see the sucker is light coloured .and leaves don’t look exactly right don’t think you have choke cherry . Yours certainly looks prunus and they can cross easily . So may be a more southern version then around here .but main thing for me is colour of bark

If your tree is native look carefully at the leaf . The pic here is Black cherry prunus serotina notice the beak shape of the serated leaf edge that is apparently the tell tail . Again your bark don’t look dark enough but it’s a betting chance . Black cherry are known to be very variable .
