I was wondering what club activities people are creating to keep in contact during COVID restrictions? Amusing incidents that resulted?

Our club has done zoom meetings with remote demonstrators with decent success and quite a few humorous moments. Imagine the SNL zoom meeting skits. We have most of those and more, and yet still have pretty successful meetings. The average age of our club is probably in the high 60's, and many are not very tech-savy. We watched one of our group on zoom, use the phone to call the organizer. We watched and listened while they have a phone conversation about how to use zoom, while they were both on screen. Eventually everyone got the concept though.

Last nigh we tried a video workshop. The instructor came to a site with only a couple of us there with trees. He discussed the trees we brought, demo'd some work on those, and then took questions from remote participants. They showed their trees on video and he did his best to help with their trees. Also had some glitches, but was also pretty successful.

We are also still trying to plan a club collecting outing this winter. I figure as long as people don't carpool, and they spread out once at the collecting site, it should be a safe, outdoor activity that we can plan and have everyone look forward to.

Y'all have other stories, ideas?
