I am in charge of club Communications at my local bonsai group this year and I am looking to hear from you how your club communicates with it's members and what works / doesn't work about it.

For my specific situation, I have a list of dues-paying members emails and a list of "friends" emails. Totaling around 400. But if you send an email through Gmail with 400 recipients you will probably end up in the spam folder. So I was told by the past chair to send in batches of 50.

I'd like to use a mail merge service, like GMass so they can be personalized to a degree, but many of those services are more robust than I need and my usage falls between the free tier and $200/yr tier, so it's close but not quite there.

So I'm looking for advice from anyone who is in a club, or has had to send out batch emails for their work or club involvement.

Thank you!

Cheap
Break the list down to allowable send compliance, then have the auto send stager the send e-mails in smaller numbers.
Just my 2 cents

I'm not familiar with auto send stager. Is that a Gmail setting or a seperate service?

I've been doing essentially that, but manually.

Yeah I ran into the same stuff with my searches. That's Google Workspace, like a paid add on for business. I'd have to look at pricing, but it would be like driving a Tesla instead of a golf cart at the course.

It’s always about money,
First you need to find the maximum send number for Your account.

Then create groups if possible that comply with the send rule, then name them Bonsai_1 Bonsai_2 or something like that, then manually send them one at a time.

try sendinblue their free tier allows 300 emails/day and you can mail merge personalization
