I have a collected coastal redwood that is growing strong. I live in western Colorado where it has been hot and dry this year. I burned some foliage early on, and have since kept the tree under the canopy of trees in my yard. The color of the foliage is a light green and has been slow to darken. Is this normal? Im afraid that it's not getting enough light or is missing a nutrient. Ive been giving it Biogold.20210716_185653.jpg

I don’t have collected California Redwoods, but all 3 of mine are in sun later afternoon and evening (I live about 10mi from the ocean in SoCal) they are all a vibrant green with new growth. I haven fertilized them much this year. Maybe try giving it sun until noon?

I'm curious to see how well, if at all, a Coast Redwood survives a Colorado winter. Might be too cold and dry unfortunately.
