Collected Fir and Spruce from northern NM

Unfortunately, I was parked a little above the collection site and there was half a mile of deadfall in the way!

I see quite a few photos of collectors standing proudly atop open rolling hillsides where you could take grandma out for a Sunday walk with giant majestic trees on their backs. I get jealous cause my sites usually involve pretty serious bush battles to get in and out of too. Great to hear of some misery and suffering and pine needles in the underwear by the time you get out!

Ha ha! More like spruce needles piercing my jeans. Not to mention arms that look like you had a fight with a bobcat!
