This is a thread for anyone who wants to post their trees they are collecting this year. So post em up! What y’all diggin?

I’ll start it out with my first for this year. I believe it is probably a sugar maples. It was marked about this same time last year so I did not see it in leaf.

I dug three other small hop-hornbeams but they are not photo worthy.;)

I’ll be adding quite a few more over the next couple of weeks but in the mean time y’all show what you’re collecting.

Well I've been having a blast my first official collecting season. Turns out with all this rain and I'm 6'6" 308 lbs, shovels just seem to go in the ground like butter. Not to mention the 20V sawzall saves the day a lot. I'm not 100% sure of the identities of these trees I'm goin off of what the picture this app said during October scouting.
Picture 1) American Hornbeam
2) American Hornbeam or beech
3) Elliott's Blueberry
4) American Hornbeam
5) American Hornbeam (Harry Potters sorting hat)
6) Winged Elm.
Now I know there's so many flaws and so much work that needs to be done, so much growth for taper and root work but I haven't been this excited about the future in a while, the last thing that got me this excited was recording 4 sacks in a game. Now I'm gonna bag em and mist em and see what develops.

I was able to score a couple redberry junipers this weekend and an Ashe juniper.
I was working on getting a large hybrid oak out but I was running out of light so I covered the hole. I will go back in a couple days and finish the job!

This is a hackberry with not much root. I put down heavy aeration layer of soil profector, dusted what little root it had with rooting hormone and potted in potting soil. We’ll see what happens. 🤞
