Hi There,
Found this yew on the curb today.

I know that's not the optimal time for collection and I don't know how long time this (not so) little guy have been extracted and let on the curb waiting for the garbage truck to pick it up but as it was still looking healthy to me and its free anyway I gave it a shot.

It was a tall one, approx 6 ft or something. I pruned it drastically in order to try to balance the remain of the root ball and I guess now we'll see...
As it's still winter it was in dormancy and also we had snow this passed week so I guess it wasn't drying out.

What do you think?
Any chances it could make it?

March is pretty much optimal for Yew, as far as I know. Depends a little on what weather you are getting, but I would guess you have a good chance of this making it.

Well, if it survives, I think you shouldn't touch it for at least one year. But if it does, that's a very promissing little one.
