Collecting places around Oklahoma

Ok yes its a lil early to be collecting but im getting ready for this next february. Does anyone know of any place to collect around here or in neighboring states that would be worth a lil drive. I know of a place in Chotoe that has some winged elms and hackberrys but not alot there. Let me know please. Thanks

There probably are a number of places that have collectible plants, but none will do you any good unless you have persmission from the person (government, company, or individual) that owns the property.

Your best bet for finding collecting spots is from an area bonsai club. Often, clubs have collecting days, but at least some of the members may have their own spots where they've gotten permission to dig.
