I enter some of my plants in a local Cactus and Succulent show over the weekend, while there were some great plants to see I focused more on pots this year. Here's some of the ones I thought were more interesting, some may be to distraction for bonsai but if the colors were muted a bit on a proportionally correct pot it would make an outstanding piece.

Cactus and succulent pots are a bit more expressive. That must be fun for a potter. There is a daring element to some of those designs. It would be interesting to go to a good cactus and succulent show.

Some times they are expensive, similar to Tokoname pots. There are also bargains, Pate's pottery for one, he'll be a the Fresno event and his prices are reasonable.

C&S shows are fun. A lot of the younger exhibitors (my self included) are taking bonsai elements and applying them to our stagings.

Fresno has a show this weekend and Carmichael the week after (where I'll be entering).

I know the guy who made these, he does a great job with textures and oxide washes.
