Anyone experiment with this stuff in your pots? It changes color depending on temperature. 180 degrees is pretty hot though, lol.

I think they are decals. I have star mug that shows the constellations with a hot drink. But it looks like some sort of coating on the outside.
Would be cool to have pots change color when they need watering!

sounds doable
moisture sensor, electropigment, battery and some electronics - better stick last 2 outside of pot
maybe in stand
connected via pot feet to keep clean look and no visible wires?

Thats a plan. Of course, the trees topped off with akadama are pretty close to being color changing clay, as its lighter when dry.

I have color changing plants, water well and they are green, forget watering for a week and they turn brown. Very reliable.
