While I do not have anything to share personally at this time in fall color, I figured I would start a thread for us to post some of our trees in fall colors. We are probably another month out before we start seeing any colors down here in Florida.

It's just starting here in Wyoming. This is a little Amur maple in early training, but he's ready for fall and I'm enjoying the show. :)

I took this yesterday of my trident. It's not amazing color or anything, but I'm still enjoying it. :)

euonymus_fall2013.jpg cercis_fall2013.jpg hornbeam_fall2013.jpg crab_fall2013.jpg

First photo is a small euonymus alatus in training (initial branch development). Second is an experimental redbud (cercis) that I dug up this spring...using it as a "practice" tree (I've got one with an interesting trunk in the growing bed for future use). Third is Korean hornbeam. Fourth is crabapple 'Mary Potter'...in the ground for now, produces tons of fruit.

One I will always love this one of a club member. If you knew his growing techniques you would be surprised. Let's start with no bonsai soil...

Wow, the color may not be amazing yet, but the tree certainly is! I love the movement in the lower trunk and nebari is very well developed- really fills out the image of an old, established tree! Is it as beautiful with the leaves off? Keep working on that ramificationa nd you should have a tree you can show off just about anywhere!

Bonsai Dave: Loving that A. Bihou!! Stunning color! I'm gonna have to get one of those :D

Dan: You trident is looking great! Excellent nebari and movement! I'd like to see it a bit shorter but I think you already knew that LOL! :D

Thanks guys!

Haha, I remember M5... I'm becoming more convinced. Michael Hagedorn had the same suggestion when I showed him...lol. And I have been looking it over to make a plan for shortening.

Eric, I do have some years of ramification ahead for this tree. But I love looking at it any time of year! :)
