Cones on bonsai

I have a JBP that is starting to produce tiny green cones. Will they ramify like needles do, or should these be removed entirely? Besides candle trimming, I believe it is a well developed pine. I acquired it from my club president.

Those are pollen cones, not "pine cones." They are a nuisance and produce clouds of pollen when the open up in late April or so...I'd remove them.
 
Nice tree...
mine do that too, I take them all off, so it doesn't suck energy away from the tree.
 
I leave the pollen flowers on and remove any cones that appear later in the season. If you chose to remove them take care that you do not accidently remove or girdle the candle in the center of the cluster of pollen buds.
