Coral Berry - Ardisia Crenata bonsai

Anyone have experience with these?

I bought one the other day to turn into a bonsai.

I accidently snapped the top off of it while trying to bend the stem, which I think ended up looking alright without it.

any tips?

I've seen a couple of nice ones, but they need to be quite large because of the leaves.

Are you saying the leaves dont reduce in size well with defoliation?

Any ideas on how this will react to having the top half snapped off?

If you are looking to develop the tree faster it may be a good idea to cut off all/some of the berries so it will put its energy into growth.

The ones I saw were 4-feet tall and the leaves were like yours. I can't "say" since I've never had one.
