And into some fresh soil - ready for the growing season. I think this will be a nice tree one day. Good taper, nice movement and wonderful bark. Looking forward to watching this one develop.

Nice Elm man! Did you got it as a pre bonsai from a bonsai nursery or just from a regular nursery?

Ha! Glad to see you shortened it!

Looks like it’s going to be a great tree!

If you're ever in MD, Meehans minitures always have a bunch of cork bark pre-bonsai elm in stock.
Dang, they're 3 hrs away!! A bit out of reach :(

Maybe they'll deliver...

They deliver but I believe in only smaller stuff. Trust me, the trip is well worth it, I am lucky I am only an hr away. I bought some nice almost finished juniper there a month ago that Martha was wiring out but she wouldn't let me take it home till May, she wants to make sure the tree will be stable lol. Really good people there and they have a large selection on tropicals also.

It was on the sale rack at Boon’s. There were a number of them to choose from at the time, but I’m not sure how many are left. He always seems to have a lot quality material at a wide range of price points.

Is the thin-gauge copper wire at the base to hold the bark in place?
Very nice material and should only improve behind your measured hand......

Will this remain at Boon's for the time being? I might assume your there?

I do love that smell of a nursery-type mix prior to that first proper re-pot!!😋😏
