Did you collect these? I like how you were able to make the second tree far more compact. Also props for having the guts to take the heavy side branch on the first one. I think it was competing too much visually with the trunk.

Thanks, yes, we collected these in 2010.

It took about 3 minutes to convince my buddy that branch needed to go. What he didn't know is that it was coming off no matter what he said ;-)...we've been working together on trees for almost 20 years, so we have a rare level of trust on projects like this. It turned out better than the photos, which seem to flatten it out.

Thanks for sharing. How long do you think you will leave the wire on for the branches to set?

Great trees, Brian. Is that first one in your backyard, too? It's got a great trunk.
No, the first one belongs to my IA buddy, and he took it back home with him...along with a killer juniper he collected at a bank (of all places) 7-8 years ago, and worked on with Owen on Thursday. It turned out very nicely.

Good Haul! Do you often Rent trees

Grimmy :p

Very nice additions to your collection Brian ;) Love the second one. Interesting, I didn't know they'd thrive there in AL.
