You shouldnt have any problems with recovery with these.
I grabbed a couple this spring myself.
Not quite as interesting as yours though.

I have had very good success with these with this amount of roots.
Roots will not be touched in the next two years at least and depending on strength it might be cut back same time next year, but maybe not.


Not quite as interesting as yours though.
I have very high expectations for this. The semicascade idea keeps popping in my head.

I put mine in colanders right after collection.
But they are in those for 2 years too.
2 years with most collected trees is a good idea.

It looks like there are thousands of great candidates in the background. What is your elevation?
between 500 and 1.000m?
There were so many I just brought back 2, but after picking the scond one, the first one looks really bad! hahaha

I want to go and get an oak before the season starts!! Last weekend tomorrow and spring should be oficial for all my trees.
