Hello all,

I don't know much about display or scrolls but I picked this one up on ebay. Do the crows symbolize Fall? That would be my first assumptionbut I would like to know from those of you that have the experience.

Thanks for Looking,

Rich

Crows are apparently associated with the sun in some Asian lore. Sunspots were thought to be crows flying across the sun. In Japan, "Yatagarasu (八咫烏?, "eight-span crow");[13] and the appearance of the great bird is construed as evidence of the will of Heaven or divine intervention in human affairs:"

The crow is in both ways in Japanese art, I think. I have this print:

which is an obvious reference to the sun.

Huh, I usually associate them with either death or horse crap, as I often see them eating from both sources.
