I have a rock crusher that can make 1/8 inch lava rock, and along with that dust and some 1/16 lava sand stuff that I have been using, it works awesome hold water awesomely and I was curious as I saw it sells for around 15 bucks a liter if anyone on here would be interested in buying some for hopefully less than 15 bucks a liter (once I get my quote on my price per cubic yard of it) but if people are interested in using it as potting medium I'd be willing to buy two cubic yards and crush it and bag it for resale.

I need the lava rock for a hyproponic garden approximately 24 cubic feet of the standard size, the rest I will crush and sift for bonsai soil.

anyone interested?

FYI, I can get 3 gallons of 1/16" - 3/16" (sifted no fines & dust free) lava on eBay for $22.00 (plus $15.30 shipping)

I think $15.00 a liter is very high. Sorry...just a comparison so you know your potential competition. I know there are even better deals out there.

I did not check ebay but amazon and other websites had a liter of it for sale for 15 bucks liter plus shipping,(this was a month ago that I checked aswell) I was just asking if anyone would be interested in buying some, I was thinking more along the lines of 15 a gallon for the 1/8th but I am still waiting on a quote from my potentil supplyer..I might have to have it shipped up here from 2-4 hourss away if this guy can't come thru for me

I'm workingo n finding a shipper I found a supplier but the cost of moving it the 1500 miles with the first trucking company was over 2 grand. If I can get it down into the hundreds I will likely buy 2 tons (roughly 3 cubic yards)

what I would be willing to pay for it would be roughly 16 a cubic foot (or 16 bucks per five gallons)

meaning I could charge about 8-10 dollars a gallon + shipping

what color would people prefer? red black or brown?

Austin, did you ever figure something out on this? I am new to the forum so if this has been updated someplace else I apologize.

I had been buying my own lava from Lowes and crushing it myself. What a pain in the ass that was....I would love to find some already crushed for a decent price.
