I traded this curly juni for one of my trees with one of my friends. He replanted it to make the base look wider. Than he took it to a workshop with master Taiga Urushibata Once the apprentice of Kimura. They added Shari and gave it a basic first styling.
By twisting and turning it all possible ways a semi cascade shape with a curly trunk was an other option too. I really wanted a semi cascade. And it had a lot of movement from that side. So the future plan is to slowly reduce the rootball to fit a pot. And let the foliage grow out while the main branches grow out too.
What you see here is the basic structure cut back.
Shari's need to be wider and the deadwood worked on too. But hard to see on the picture but it has great movement in this position.

Great tree & excellent styling. Also good to read your blog posts again - I had thought you might have drifted away from bonsai at one point.
